Provectus Capital Partners at the Austria–CEE Private Equity Breakfast in Vienna

Igor Čičak, CEO and Managing Partner of Provectus Capital Partners, participated in the Austria–CEE Private Equity Breakfast co-hosted by CMS and Pedersen & Partners in Vienna on 23 April 2026, joining a panel of private equity investors and advisers from across the region.

The discussion focused on current market dynamics, value creation and exit environments, as well as the evolving role of private equity in an increasingly selective investment landscape.

During the panel, Igor Čičak shared perspectives on how private equity firms are adapting to changing market conditions and investor expectations:

“Sustainable value creation today requires a hands-on approach — working closely with management teams to drive strategic initiatives, strengthen operations and support businesses in executing their growth plans in an increasingly volatile environment. This is also increasingly reflected in LP expectations, with investors placing greater emphasis on managers who can demonstrate a consistent, systematic approach to value creation, combined with a clear and disciplined investment strategy focused on resilient sectors. Our recent fundraising, including the first close in October 2025, is a strong reflection of that continued investor confidence.”

The panel also addressed broader trends shaping the private equity landscape, including the impact of macroeconomic uncertainty on deal activity, continued selectivity in M&A processes, and evolving exit conditions across Austria and the wider CEE region.
