Zagreb, May 16, 2022 – Provectus Capital Partners (PCP), an investment company focused on the markets of Southeast Europe, has invested in Special Hospital for Orthopedics and General Surgery dr. Nemec from Matulji, thus beginning the process of creating Aviva Medical Group. With the new investment, PCP continues to consolidate healthcare services through the newly established Group, whose members are Aviva Polyclinic, Diagnostics 2000 Polyclinic, and Uro Center Polyclinic. This marks the third investment in the private healthcare sector in Croatia this year.
Special hospital dr. Nemec is the first Croatian private specialist hospital for orthopedics with over 18 years tradition, whose medical team perform over 1,000 surgeries and more than 5,000 specialist examinations each year. The hospital has three modern surgery rooms, four specialist clinics, seven two-bed suites, newly equipped physical therapy, and state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment such as 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging device.

Founder of the Special Hospital for Orthopedics and General Surgery dr. Nemec from Matulji is Boris Nemec, Ph.D., orthopedic specialist, a leading Croatian orthopedist and a pioneer in the introduction of modern methods of orthopedic procedures in the region, a member of numerous professional associations such as ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy), AOOS (American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons), or AANA (Arthroscopy Association of North America). Boris Nemec, Ph.D., an orthopedic specialist, was also the long-time chief physician of the Croatian national football team and the president of the Health Commission of the Croatian Football Association.
